5. Changes to the event due to COVID-19 restrictions

As times are still a little uncertain, we wanted to assure you that your Conference registration is protected in the event that the Conference is postponed or cancelled by IAP2A due to COVID-19 related government restrictions.

5.1 What happens to my registration if IAP2 cancels the conference due to government restrictions?
In the event of the cancellation of the Conference, all registrations and associated components of attendance such as social functions and pre or post conference workshops will be cancelled, and amounts refunded in full.

5.2 What happens to my registration if the Conference shifts from in-person to fully virtual?
All attendees will automatically be transferred to a virtual registration, and any difference in fees will be refunded.

5.3 What happens to my registration if the Conference is postponed?
In the event of a Conference postponement, all registrations will automatically be transferred to the new Conference dates. If you are unable to attend on the new dates, you may contact the Conference Secretariat to request a transfer of your registration to a colleague at no cost or request a cancellation and refund which will incur a $100 administration fee up until the Registration Cancellation Deadline of the revised conference dates. If unsure, contact us and we are happy to assist.

5.4 What happens to my registration if my state borders are closed to Queensland?
In the event that the state boarders are closed between 25 October and 29 October, from your departing city to Brisbane and you are therefore unable to attend the Conference, a virtual registration will be offered and any difference in fees will be refunded. For any accommodation bookings the Conference Secretariat will contact the hotel to put in a request for cancellation, however the cancellation fee will be at the discretion of each individual hotel.

5.5 Accommodation
In the event that the conference is cancelled or postponed due to a government-imposed lockdown in Queensland, your accommodation prepayment will be refunded.

(If you choose to no longer travel to the Conference, and there are no applicable government enforced restrictions, the applicable policy of the accommodation will apply.)
