General Information

When and where will the IAP2 Australasia Conference take place?

The conference runs from 26 – 28 October 2022 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) including pre-conference workshops on 26 October 2022 available to full conference registrations.

Is there a dress code?

Smart casual is the dress code for the event. Please ensure you wear closed toed shoes on setup and tear down days.

Will there be wifi at the event?

Yes, complimentary wifi will be available to all attendees at the event.

Will any sessions be recorded?

Keynote speaker sessions and Concurrent sessions occuring in the Plenary (Clarendon Auditorium), will be recorded and available to Full Conference Registration ticket holders post event.


How do I register?

You can register for 1 registration type only.

How can I register a group?

Yes, at the top of your Currinda profile click on ‘Groups’ and you should be able to enter the details of each group member.
Groups of five or more will receive the fifth tickets free. Send us an email at iap2conference@theassociationspecialists.com.au or give us a call and we can help you register your team.

How can I access the member discount?

Current financial members of IAP2 can select the member rate when booking online at the conference registration site.
Registration lists will be cross referenced with our list of members.
The member discount is strictly available for IAP2 current members only.

How do I make a hotel booking?

You can make a hotel booking through our registration system. Click here to edit your registration and book a hotel room.

Can we pay upon receipt of a tax invoice?

Yes you can! We can issue a tax invoice for your accounts department if required. Simply select this payment option when you get to the payment page on their registration site.

Is there a virtual ticket options?

In-person tickets are only available for purchase at the moment. Stay tuned if virtual registrations will become available.

Can I share my registration?

We are afraid not. Sharing of registrations is also not permitted. One registration may not be utilised by several individuals.
Single-Day Registration options are available for delegates who wish to attend a single day.

Can I cancel or transfer my registration?

Yes, you may transfer your registration to a replacement delegate at no extra change. Cancellations must be made in writing to the IAP2 Conference Managers.
The following terms will apply to any notice of cancellation of attendance at the Conference received by IAP2 Australasia Conference Managers:
•   Up to Friday 9 September 2022: full registration fee will be refunded minus an administration fee of $100
•   From Saturday 10 September 2022: no refund available, substitution only
•   Any cancellations from 10 September 2022 up to the Conference will be liable for the full cost. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received after 10 September 2022.
We do understand that life happens. The organisers will endeavour to be as flexible and understanding as possible for attendees and are happy to look at cancellations on a case-by-case scenario.

How do I change my ticket or arrange a refund?

What if I catch COVID-19 or become a close contact and are unable to attend?

If you’re unable to attend due to testing positive to COVID-19 or government requirements to isolate due to being a close contact. You can either transfer your registration to a colleague or you will receive a full refund. See full event terms and conditions.

What if I can't attend in-person due to Government restrictions?

In the event of Government restrictions preventing you from attending the event in-person, a virtual registration will be offered and any difference in fees will be refunded. For any accommodation bookings the Conference Secretariat will contact the hotel to put in a request for cancellation, however the cancellation fee will be at the discretion of each individual hotel. What if the in-person event is cancelled due to Government restrictions?

In the event of the cancellation of the Conference, all registrations and associated components of attendance such as social functions and pre or post conference workshops will be cancelled, and amounts refunded in full.
If the in-person event is forced to cancel due to Government restrictions. You’ll receive a full refund for your registration and associated components of attendance. See full event terms and conditions.

How do I pick up my badge at the event?

Once your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email. Prior to the event, you will receive additional information regarding registering and picking up your badge at the event.


How do I ask questions during the sessions?

We encourage you to ask questions at any time using the event app. Questions are submitted to the Chairperson and will be reviewed and placed into the queue for the Q&A segment.

Will there be multiple sessions going on at the same time?

Some sessions are scheduled to run concurrently. When the program has been released, you can review the program to see all the session topics and speakers.

What functions are available throughout the conference?

There are two functions available throughout the conference. Your registration type will dictate if these are included, please indicate if you will be attending during your registration.
Welcome Reception – provides an opportunity to network with friends and colleagues, whilst enjoying a drinks and canapes in the Exhibition Area.

IAP2 Core Values Awards Dinner – This is an elegant evening with lots of food, drinks, music, dancing and entertainment and of course celebrating and announcing the winners of the Core Values Awards. This is an event highlight you don’t want to miss!

Where can I find a copy of the current program?

In 2022, a program is being built which will foster a greater amount of knowledge sharing between all delegates – not just the presenters. Once the program has been finalised it will be available to you via this website.
